Resources

Farming in Nova Scotia is not for the faint of heart. While there is a great deal of pride in the history and strength of our industry in the province – there is no doubt that the job comes with its fair share of challenges. We often define farming as a physical job, but in doing so, we tend to neglect our mental health and wellness.

The We Talk. We Grow. initiative wants to generate a greater understanding of how we need to care for our mental health – not only when we’re facing challenges, but to focus on maintaining wellness when things are running smoothly.

We’ve sourced out resources and training to address the different levels of the mental health continuum, so that you can access and tailor support depending on your level of need.

Please be assured that every reasonable effort has been made to make sure that the information presented on this website is current and accurate. The resources and supports outlined on this site do not replace the advice or guidance provided by mental health professionals.
